Exploring J. C. High Eagle is a journey in itself. Although he is indeed a country music artist and songwriter, which is the object of his inclusion in these pages, it is only one facet of many entertainment related talents which includes being a composer, author and speaker. His heritage is Osage and Cherokee Indian and his work reflects a cultural continuity rich in his Native American Culture which is evident in his music on the American Indian flute and in his writing.
Besides being designated by the Oklahoma Arts Council as a member of the Oklahoma Touring Artists Roster for 2009/2010, he has performed with the Milwaukee Symphony and the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
His catalouge to date has 192 registered songs. “Keeping It Country,” is a demo of original songs written by him. They are traditionally grounded in sound and style with a contemporary edge that gives his music a nostalgic today feeling and are as unique as his many talents. – NU
