Danielle Peck is one of those whose musical destination was decided very early in life where music was as natural for her as us getting up in the morning and going to Starbucks. Her biography relates how as a child she was living the dream long before realizing it. There’s no shortage of beautiful, talented female country artists. So what’s unique about this one? Well we’ve been stalking….uh I mean watching her My Space activity after decerning it was fairly safe to conclude that it was actually her and not someone filling in. What we found was someone who is quite obviously a fan of her fans. She’s really into these people, going as far as sharing the highlights of her day from the time she gets up until she goes to bed.
“Back in the day” when the radio was the principal source of music, (before her time) it was mostly about the music. Technology today knows no boundaries and the whole musical experience is as much about the artist as the music. Danielle Peck is taking full advantage of these various outlets which includes her My Space page complete with video geared for fans and diarylike posts documenting and sharing everything she does…..at least the stuff she wants you to know about. A recent example is a live account while she was on the road. That “wheels on the bus go round and round” thing got stuck in my head and I do want to thank her for that…NOT!
While this enchanting lighthearted young lady has a whimsical side, her music is serious business; A business that unofficially began when she did her own CD labels.(read the bio) . Her debut album in 2006 entered the charts at number three on the Billboard Top New Artists Albums chart. Three singles from that album made the top 40 singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Some have compared her to Shania Twain and Faith Hill and while it’s true that she shares some of the same qualities which lands her in their league, she has definitely brought with her a style all her own.
